The tradition of teaching religious sciences dates back to the time of the Prophet (peace be upon him). However, the methods of instruction and the educational system have evolved over time. Dars-e-Nizami is an educational system attributed to the renowned scholar Mullah Nizamuddin Sehalwi from the twelfth century. This method includes a curriculum and teaching system that Mullah Nizamuddin (may Allah have mercy on him) developed for the religious institutions of the East. It comprises an eight-year curriculum focused on Arabic and religious sciences, structured in four stages, each lasting two years:
The aims and objectives of Jamia Darul Uloom Nasiriya Ghorghushti are as follows:
The curriculum encompasses twenty branches of knowledge, including Sarf (Morphology), Nahw (Syntax), Ma’ani (Semantics), Balaghah (Rhetoric), Adab-o-Insha, Mantiq (Logic), Falsafah (Philosophy), Hay’at (Astronomy), Kalam (Theology), Munazara (Debate), Fiqh (Jurisprudence), Usul al-Fiqh (Principles of Jurisprudence), Tafsir (Quranic Exegesis), Hadith, Ilm al-Hisab (Mathematics), Ilm al-Kimiya (Chemistry), and Tibb (Medicine).
