Shaykh Al-Hadith Hazrat Maulana Naseeruddin of Ghorghushti (RA) was a distinguished scholar, Muhaddith (expert in Hadith), and teacher. He belonged to the Kakar tribe of Afghanistan and received his early education from his elder brother. To pursue higher Islamic education, he traveled to several centers of learning and completed his Dora-e-Hadith under the guidance of Shaykh Al-Hadith Hazrat Maulana Qamaruddin Chakralwi (RA).
Upon returning to Ghorghushti, district Attock, Shaykh Al-Hadith Hazrat Maulana Naseeruddin of Ghorghushti (RA) began teaching in his ancestral mosque, famously known as “Masjid Khajoor Wali.” He started the teaching of Hadith sciences in the region and introduced Pashto as the medium of instruction, a revolutionary move at the time.
The establishment of Jamia Darul Uloom Naseeria Ghorghushti was the result of the tireless efforts of Shaykh Al-Hadith Hazrat Maulana Naseeruddin of Ghorghushti (RA). The institution’s primary objective is to disseminate Islamic sciences and uphold the message of “Qaal Allah” and “Qaal Rasool Allah ﷺ”. Since its inception, the Jamia has produced thousands of scholars who are serving Islam across the globe.
The Jamia has incorporated the teaching of Hadith and Islamic sciences into its Nisab-e-Taleem, providing expertise in these fields to countless students. Shaykh Al-Hadith Hazrat Maulana Naseeruddin of Ghorghushti (RA) taught Hadith for over 50 years without any remuneration, benefiting nearly 5,000 students. His pioneering efforts in teaching Hadith in Pashto continue to inspire the scholars of today.
After Shaykh Al-Hadith Hazrat Maulana Naseeruddin of Ghorghushti (RA), his son, Hazrat Maulana Muhammad Ibrahim Ji (RA), was appointed as his successor. He continued his father’s scholarly legacy and elevated the Jamia’s educational services further.
During his student days, Hazrat Muhammad Ibrahim Ji (RA) took Bay’ah in the Naqshbandi Mujaddidi order under his father’s guidance. After 15 years of spiritual training, he was granted Authorisation. He served as the administrator of the Jamia, maintaining its smooth operation and fulfilling his duties with great devotion.
At Jamia Darul Uloom Naseeria Ghorghushti, a wide range of Islamic sciences is taught, including Quran, Hadith, Fiqh, Tafseer, and other related subjects. A key focus of the institution remains the teaching of Hadith, a tradition that was first introduced to the Pashto-speaking regions by Shaykh Al-Hadith Hazrat Maulana Naseeruddin of Ghorghushti (RA). Additionally, the Jamia offers courses such as Dars-E-Nizami, Hifz-e-Quran, and various other departments like Shuba Dirasat-e-Deeniya, Shuba Nazerah, and Shuba Asri Uloom.
