Your name was Muhammad Ibrahim, son of Sheikh-ul-Hadith Maulana Naseeruddin Ghorghushti (RA), and grandson of Ustadh-ul-Ulama Maulana Bahauddin (RA). Your family lineage traces back to the Kakar tribe of Afghanistan, with your ancestral homeland in Kandahar, Afghanistan, and your birthplace in the village of Ghorghushti, District Attock. You were born around 1925.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

You received your early education, including Quran recitation and elementary Persian books, from your esteemed father, Sheikh-ul-Hadith Hazrat Maulana Naseeruddin Ghorghushti (RA). Afterward, for further education, you traveled to Amritsar with your elder brother Hazrat Maulana Fakhruddin. There, you studied some early Persian books, such as Gulistan, under the tutelage of the spiritual successor of Hazrat Thanwi (RA), Hazrat Maulana Mufti Muhammad Hassan Amritsari (RA), founder of Jamia Ashrafia, Lahore. Despite teaching advanced books, Hazrat Mufti Sahib kindly instructed you in the basics and later included his son, Hazrat Maulana Waliullah (RA), in your lessons.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Unfortunately, during your stay in Amritsar, you fell ill and could not continue your studies, prompting your return home. After a brief pause in your education, Allah blessed you with recovery, and you resumed your studies. You began studying Arabic grammar and syntax with Maulana Shehzada, known as Lakhar Baba of Swat, who was a student of your father, Sheikh-ul-Hadith (RA). During this time, you also studied portions of Sarf Mir, Alfiya, and Sharh Jami with your father.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

To further enhance your knowledge of Arabic literature, you studied under Maulana Abdul Haq of Mangal Chai, a student of your father, Sheikh-ul-Hadith (RA), for about three years. Afterward, you enrolled in Darul Uloom Haqqania Akora Khattak, where you studied Siraji, Husami, and Hidaya Awaleen under Hazrat Maulana Muhammad Yusuf Boneri (RA), a graduate of Darul Uloom Deoband.<\/p>

Later, you traveled to the renowned institution in your region, Kunwan Mian Sahib in Hazro, where you studied advanced logic texts like Sullam, Hamdalillah, and Qazi Mubarak, as well as Sharh Aqaa\u2019id and Hidaya Akhireen under Sheikh-ul-Hadith Hazrat Maulana Abdul Qadeer Mominpuri (RA), a scholar of Dabhil. During this time, your fellow students included Hazrat Maulana Abdul Rahman, son of Sheikh-ul-Hadith Hazrat Maulana Abdul Hanan Tajik Attock (RA), Hazrat Maulana Ghulam Yahya of Nartoopa Attock (RA), and Hazrat Maulana Ghulam Yahya Hazrovi (RA), former head teacher of Jamia Hanfia Taleem-ul-Islam Jhelum.<\/p>

You continued your studies in Hidaya Akhireen, Jalalain Sharif, Baidawi Sharif, and Mishkat Sharif under your respected father. Later, around 1956 or 1957, you completed your Dora-e-Hadith (final year of Hadith studies) under your father, Sheikh-ul-Hadith (RA). That year, the majority of students in your class were from Afghanistan and Baluchistan. Your Dora-e-Hadith became renowned, and your peers often referred to it as the Dora-e-Ibrahimi.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

During your student days, you took bay’ah (spiritual allegiance) with your father, Sheikh-ul-Hadith (RA), and began practicing the spiritual exercises of the Naqshbandi order under his guidance. For about 15 years, you diligently completed these exercises, and upon their completion, you were granted khilafat (spiritual succession) by your father. You recalled that when your father conferred khilafat upon you, he also advised, “Always seek rectification from my senior disciples and never be negligent in your self-reformation.” You adhered to this advice throughout your life, benefiting from the guidance of your father\u2019s disciples as well.<\/p>

Upon the passing of Sheikh-ul-Hadith (RA), you were appointed as his successor (Janasheen). Hundreds of people were your disciples.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

\u00a0After completing your Dora-e-Hadith, your father, due to his declining health, entrusted you with leading prayers at your ancestral mosque, Jamia Masjid Khajoor Wali. He also handed over his cloak, which he used to wear during winter prayers. Your ancestors had served as imams, teachers, and spiritual guides in this mosque for hundreds of years. You continued serving as the imam for nearly 60 years while also teaching Quran and Hadith and managing the affairs of Jamia Darul Uloom Naseeria Ghorghushti.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Allah blessed you with a long life dedicated to the service of Islam and the reformation of the community. On Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at approximately 9:45 PM, you peacefully passed away while reciting verses from Surah Yaseen and loudly proclaiming the Kalima (declaration of faith).<\/p>

Your funeral prayer was held on Wednesday, October 3, 2017, after the Dhuhr prayer, attended by thousands, including many scholars and students. Your grandson, Maulana Muhammad Usama (Deputy Principal of Jamia Darul Uloom Naseeria Ghorghushti) led the prayer. You were laid to rest in your ancestral graveyard beside your respected father, Sheikh-ul-Hadith Hazrat Maulana Naseeruddin Ghorghushti (RA).
